The constant improvement of the Quality and Safety of manufactured products is one of Jake’s major concerns. For this reason Jake has implemented a Food Safety and Quality management system based on BRCGS Food and IFS Food international norms. In 2019 Jake achieved grade AA in BRCGS Food, the highest grade achievable within the announced auditing program.
“Quality” consists of a whole series of individual components. On the one hand, first class raw materials are essential to provide a convincing and constant quality. On the other hand, it is essential to carefully control the entire production process, at the highest technological level. Additionally, it is especially important for us that each employee, through personal dedication, contributes to this level of quality in our products.
Jake has a fully equipped quality control laboratory in constant process of development. Following strict and rigorous control plans, we systematically control both the quality of the raw materials as well as each phase of the manufacturing and packaging process.
In order to guarantee the quality of our products during their shelf life, product stability studies are regularly carried out.
In addition, Jake has an R + D + I department for the development of new products. The creation of new products allows us to innovate and offer our customers the latest trends and novelties in the confectionery sector. In order to develop and improve our products, we have a pilot plant equipped with all necessary machinery to replicate industrial processes at laboratory level. In this way, we ensure that the prototypes created are as similar as possible to the end products manufactured at industrial level.
All our jelly, hard candy and bubble gum items are gluten free and therefore suitable for coeliacs.
